Avachinskiy volcano (2765 m) is situated to the north of PK and is the most active inKoryak-Avacha group of volcanoes. It's a complex double volcano of Somma-Vesuvius type. In the crater of the Avacha volcano there are many fumaroles. The temperature of gases emitted at these fumaroles has been measured at over 400 °C. From the top of the volcano one can see the panorama of PK, the ocean, Viluchinskiy, Goreliy, Mutnovskiy, Opala volcanoes, Naluchevo valley and Zhupanovskiy and Dzendzur volcanoes.

6:00 Meeting the group. Transfer for about 3 hours by all-terrain heavy truck to the foot of Avachiskiy vlc (900 m above the sea level) – 50 km. 9:00 Breakfast (tea with sandwiches). Safety instuctions, preparing for the ascent. 9:15 Start of the ascent. Lunch on the volcano. 6:00 pm Return to the base camp. Dinner. 9:00 pm Transfer to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. |
Tour price: 5500 rubles per person
Light version of the programm includes hiking to the small Camel extrusion at the foot of Avacha volcano, lunch and excursion to the black-sand beach.
The price of the light version tour is 6000 rubles per person.
